You should really ride a folding bike first. They are, compared to a bike with larger wheels, wobbly and unstable. I had folding bikes before and could not sell them fast enough. BTW the RAD mini is 67#. This is not something easily put in a storage compartment or the bed of the truck.
A good cover on the bikes while on the carrier and no problem.
