Your current hitch will work regardless of the truck being SRW, DRW, short bed or long bed, though it would be overkill for a long bed. The real question would be, does the new truck have the puck system and will your current hitch work with the puck system ? (may require an adapter plate)
I'm of the mindset..."if it ain't broke, don't fix it" and "don't spend money unless you have to".
