I've expressed this opinion in another thread regarding the venting of the access door when the rig is gen-prepped. I just got off the phone with Craig in Owner Relations. Our '05 2980RL was ordered with the gen-prep package. We ordered it at the Pomona CA RV show and there was a factory rep present (I think Charles Wade). No mention was ever made about the OPTIONAL vented front door for the gen-prep package. It should be obvious that if someone is ordering the prep package that they would also want the vented door. This should be part of the package. That makes more sense than depending on the dealer to remember to tell you about it, because it is not listed in the option section of the brochure. We certainly wouldn't have minded the additional charge at that time. Now, it's one more thing to have to arrange when we get our generator put in, since we probably won't be doing it through the Montana dealer.
