3400 Washer Dryer Install

If the 3400 has the prep for washer dryer (water and drain) then the rest of the closet should be configured to accept the washer/dryer without having to build anything to close off the basement. Several calls to Keystone plus emails all said we didn't have to do anything except remove box but when you do there is a large (size of box) opening, back, both sides and one corner of the floor, opening to the basement. Cold air can come in plus the machine has to have something to sit on on the right rear corner. We are building a box for that and hopefully putting insulation in the openings. We spent all day yesterday getting the unit in (Splendide 2000S Vented) and to top it off we started the first load, the water temp. dial fell off in my hand. We went ahead and ran a load and it was wonderful! The machine bounced a little because we don't have that back corner stablized but I'm sure it will settle down once the box is in. We are venting loose into the basement for now. We will get the vent installed next weekend.
