Also, if battery is not charged enough it will make one heck of a racket-- currently having the same problem with my 5er, called Tech Guru at dealer and he asked me if I'd been charging the batteries. I had not and batteries (have 2) only lit one 1 light on the little wall panel. In any case, hooked trailer up to shore power for a couple of hours and now landing gear sounds normal. Worth a try to check.
