Bad idea in general to leave a valve open to the sewer system in the RV park. If you have ever smelled sewer while walking around in the park, it is probably someone leaving the sewer valving open in their RV.
The traps in your RV are designed to keep the sewer gas from coming up into your living space, if you would pipe straight to the sewer tanks, even the gray water tank, it would be stinko.. There is no trap between the sewer system in the RV park and your discharge port you hook up to, so the sewer gas migrates from there up your open valve and up the vent in your RV out into the RV park. Imagine how it would stink in the park if all guests left the valves open.
