I forgot to mention about the chemicals. I use some storebrand, safe-for-everything, formaldehyde-free popular branded deodorizer/cleaner.

However, some time ago before joining the MOC I read of a person who came up with a VERY good solution of chemicals that ended up being a very safe, effective, bio-safe product you could make at home. Unfortunately, I was not in a place to check this out and now I can't remember a stitch about it. If I ever find it again I will use it and post the results.

If anyone knows what I am talking about it was in an RV mag of some kind and the inventor's specialty was cleaning black and grey tanks so well that sensors would work correctly again and the claim was you could use fresh water in them (I wouldn't, just the thought, yech), and by using his solution that you made yourself, would prevent further build up and problems.

Stay tuned,
