Yes I use the king pin extender, it works just as they said, have had no trouble in turning with my short bed. It does put some strain on the trailer frame tho. I wish that Lippert would make a adapter kit for those of us that need it. I see a lot of rigs in our part of the country that pull with a gooseneck adapter, which is also a no-no to Lippert. If 20 to 25 percent of the people use something it tells me that they are not taking care of there customer base when they just scream that it will void your warranty.

If you use one watch the front frame, in two years mine is still working OK, and I've run 15 to 20 thousand miles with it.
