Think seriously about going to Mexico in the winter. It is generally warmer although there are some cold spots. The food is great, the folks are friendly and it costs about a third less. We don't speak very much Spanish, but try which pleases the locals. Get the book by Mike and terri Church called the "Travelers' Guide to Mexican Camping" which lists nearly every campground in Mexico and what you need for border crossing, etc. www.rollinghomes.com

Go SLOWLY. When we first started, we figured that it would take us three years to zigzag across the US--took seven years! We aim for weather with 75 daytime and in the 50s at night. Follow the sun. Just remember that fulltiming is a lifestyle, not a long vacation. Every once in a while take a vacation from fulltiming. Go on a cruise (we are next week) or just pull into a CG and do nothing.
