Holy hail!!
Camping at Gulf State Park in Gulf Shores Alabama and had a line of strong severe storms roll through last night. It was forecasted and we prepared ourselves for strong straight line winds figuring that was going to be the worst of it. Boy were we wrong... baseball sized hail that lasted about five minutes. Anything plastic on the roof was demolished, both skylights destroyed so water coming in. Patched the best I could from the inside while it was still raining heavily then got up on the roof when it settled down to survey the dam age. OUCH not to mention hail damage to the truck. Good news no one was hurt and everything can be fixed, insurance claims already submitted. Almost every camper here has some type of damage with some being way worse than ours. All part of the full timing adventure and being at the mercy of the
weather.
