As i recall when i installed my goosebox, there were two different bolt patterns with different heights. I installed mine so that i have about 9" of clearance between the bottom of the trailer and the truck bed rail. It is important that you keep at least a minimum of 7" clearance. If you have any tight unlevel turns you can damage the truck and the trailer.
