My simple answer is a fifth wheel tows, turns and backs up much better then a bumper pull. I traded my 30' Cougar for a 34' Montana. I can park this in just about any camp ground. At 12000 lbs it tows amazingly with my 2020 GMC 2500. I know I'm slightly over tongue weight but it works well with plenty of power and stability. I get a solid 10 MPG about the same as my bumper pull. I could feel sway when passing big rigs with the Cougar but zero with the Monty.
