I don't have any cable slides, but I use PTFE Dry Lube on the rails and rollers of our Schwintek and Hydraulic slides. It doesn't attract dirt like other lubes.
I also use it on the rods of our hydraulic jacks. Many people use hydraulic fluid or ATF, but they stay wet a long time and if you're parked on a sandy spot, it just makes a mess. I wipe our off with a microfiber cloth, then spray the PTFE dry lube on them.
