I've used my B&W with first a short bed using the turn over base and now a long bed using the puck base with nary a problem of cab interference. Yes, it is a possibility but a very rare over a90 degree turn. I do, even with the long bed have that B&W with the arms facing back which puts the king pin a little bit behind the truck rear axle ceneterline but in 50K plus miles have never had a problem. Not sure what Ram Montana meant by latching likes. Once the pin has slid in the jaws my B&W gives a nice solid 'clank' and it's firmly hooked up.
