One more way to save money and see the country is work camping. Currently we are tour guides at an arboretum, a place we would want to spend time anyway. Our site and utilities including propane are taken care of. Some jobs will even pay you and give you a site, but generally they require more time and aren't as much fun as the site only ones. There are a number of websites to both find and apply for work camping positions. If you are interested PM me and I'll give you some ideas.
