Greetings from central Arkansas and welcome to the forum. You've come to the right place for guidance. As the saying goes, "different strokes for different folks", but we've been pulling our Montana(s) with a GMC 2500HD and have a new 3500HD on order (hubby loves the Duramax/Allison).
We replaced the tires that came on our Montana with G614s and purchased a tire pressure monitoring system for those tires and the tires on our truck. We saw what happened to a friend of our's SOB because they had no idea that anything was wrong back there until he looked in the mirror. We hope that if there is a pressure change we will have enough time to pull over and assess the situation and hopefully avoid possible damage.
Whatever you choose, just make sure there's enough truck to pull that 40 footer once you get it loaded. We hope you enjoy many miles with smiles. Be safe and smart.
