ST tires are "Special Trailer' tires almost exclusively manufactured in China. Their claim to fame is the higher weight rating (3,400 lbs.) for an "E" range tire. However they are limited to a maximum speed of 65 MPH in order to achieve that rating. All of them are junk!
LT tires are "Light Truck" tires rated for ~ 3,100 lbs. and manufactured world-wide (including the USA). They are have a lower weight rating due to the requirement to support the weight at a much higher speed (95 MPH???). This is the tire of choice for many Montana owners (even those with 7K axles).
