Chuck and Carol,

We bought an Avanti 3.2 cu ft. upright. It cost around $150. It is 32 inches tall and sits at the end of the kitchen counter, very convenient, and adds counter space. We also use it for bulk purchases, but as soon as possible, we try to move everything up to the Montana freezer. We try not to run the freezer so much when we dry camp 'cause it eats up the battery power. We found by putting a digital temperature monitor inside, we can plug and unplug the freezer when it gets close to 32 degrees.

We also purchased a small ice maker, this frees up lots of space in the freezer for ice-making and ice storage.
