Right on John. I agree with you about to much tension on the cords. With our new Monty we had a problem with one of the shades and it was the only one that I noticed that had high tension on the cords. The shade was hard to pull up and down and the result was the shade would all of a sudden when lowering or raising the shade would go lop sided and the end cap would pop off causing the shade to come out of the track holding the material.
I think the best thing to do is to just simply adjust the tension on the cords so the shades can be raised and lowered without a lot of resistance. Of course if they are to loose they will come down on their own when the 5er is towed.
