The reason the Valterra cable valves do not work correctly is that are NEVER installed correctly. I replaced all my bristle valves with Valterra several years ago and they work great.

-The cables MUST be anchored along there path. (they cant just flop in the breeze)
-They MUST be anchored securely at both ends within 6" of the valve or handle.
-There can not be any short 180 degree turns (less than 24" in dia)
-The cables MUST be straight for 6" from the handle and the valve itself.
-You have to have the shortest length possible.(meaning, you can not use a stock 72" cable if only 60" is needed). You MUST cut the cables to the length needed.

If they are installed correctly they work great.
Do not trust some young kid at a dealer that has only been fiddling with campers for a month to install them correctly.!!!
