Garmin StreetPilot III

I purchased a Garmin StreetPilot III a month ago and have found it to be a very useful tool while driving.

The accuracy is amazing and everyone, including me, is also amazed by the accuracy in the database. There are few street or roads that is hasn't identified correctly.

It also provides some information that all of us are interested in such as true speed - time to destination based on current driving speeds. Total travel time = total time you have driven + total time you have been stopped. It shows up-coming cross streets / exits / rest areas.

If you load your driving plans (routes) into the device it can guide you right to your destination. Unit announces both visually and via a pleasant female voice up-coming turns. Probably one of the most helpful features is when you make a wrong turn. The unit automatically re-calculates the best way to get you back on track.

Cost is high at $999 but the features are impressive. Check it out at Garmin's web site. Enjoy!
