Well , aluminum wheels are in widespread use and I have had them on my last two pickups & I have
them on the car I now own and I also have them on my 06 Montana 2955RL.
You can have poor quality in steel wheels too. If there is a problem with Montana Aluminum wheels, it is a wheel problem, not an aluminum problem.
