with the Honda 'companion' it does have the 30 amp plug in BUT you need a special 30 amp plug and then you can plug in your regular 30 amp plug into that.
And, as you know the generator won't product 30 amp without the other generator attached. I've done this for years since I only have the companion Honda.
If you have the money just get the Honda.
