At this stage I'm pretty much a Bilstein fan. Used to use Ranchos on my off road toys and a couple of pickups back when I was using them. They were OK but didn't seem to be much of an upgrade. The last set was the adjustable RS9000 type and I still didn't like them.

Keep in mind that the Bilsteins are more "purpose" built IMO. The 4600 series is more or less an OEM replacement which I've never used. The 5100 comes in various configurations for lifted trucks or not. You have to look at the specs. They are firm but haven't noticed that they are any more firm than OEM shocks. They do seem to help more under load. Here is a little comparison between the Rancho and Bilstein; one of I'm sure many....
