Sounds like the same stove configuration. Top burners light with rotary sparker (ignitor) that is the far right knob. So when I turn the oven knob to pilot light, the knob also has to be pressed in?? However, even if the pilot is not lit, shouldn't the main oven bar light with a lighter when the gas is turned beyond light pilot, say to 300 degrees or so?? Seems like I have lit Suburban ovens directly in the past without even using the pilot light??
