We joined the electric car club this weekend. Bought a Ford Fusion Titanium Energi. 88 mph using battery and gas. Never thought we do this, but we are driving back and forth between Redding and Stanford Hospital four to five times a month. Costing $140. Round trip. New car about $17.00. Very impressed with its power and you don't feel like your driving a battery car. Looked at a Tesla, but they are having big problems right now, and one I wanted was $100k. Plus my wife said I had to get rid of my HellCat if I wanted one!
