I'm planning to install a hard wired surge protector in our 2011 3400rl. We have a factory generator also. The question is, do I surge protect the power from the generator also. I think I should IMHO. That said, the surge protector should go between the transfer switch and the breaker box. Where is the transfer switch and does the cable from the shore power go all the way to the front where the generator is? Is there space near the generator to put the surge protector or would it be better somewhere else like under the stairs?
