That's true for the driver's license type but not for vehicle length.


In Nevada, the max length is 70' for any combination if you have a class C license and vehicle combination (under 26k). If you have a class A and the tow vehicle is rated over 26k GCWR, there is no stated length limit. Here's the link to the law on the books:

In California, it's 65ft (75ft for commercial 28'6 doubles, but the first trailer can't exceed 28'6) except for interstates where they permit 53' trailers with no restriction on overall length. http://www.dot.ca.gov/trafficops/trucks/quickguide.html
