We run with fridge and furnace on and do NOT turn either off when we are at the pump or go through tunnels. We are not aware of any federal law about running with it on and as the saying goes 'ignorance is bliss'! During the winter the refrigerator is a big cooler and we don't run it while driving because it is not necessary. During 100degree weather we ALWAYS run it!

We have a diesel truck and use regular pumps. As Ozz said in another post we have seen the Myth Busters episode where they had a heck of a time getting the stuff to ignite. Like Bingo said, not promoting the practice to others, just what we do. We did purchase a halogen system to install in the back of the fridge for extra protection because my son sleeps next to the fridge on the couch.

Interesting to see everyone else's point of view! As always!!! Nice thing is on this forum there usually aren't any judgements passed on others just information shared...okay...okay...so most of you 'turn offers' are probably thinking we are idiots...but at least you aren't typing it out loud!!! We may reevaluate our position after reading other posts! That is the beauty of this forum!
