That's correct, it's about 45-50 miles north of Yuma off of Hwy 95, and I discovered that GPS's can't find it and MapQuest can only come about 4 miles from it but by then the signs tell you were to go. The folks at the refuge do realize the issues and have a full kitchen and freezer space for the volunteers so the trips to town can be minimized and the place MapQuest wants to take you to is actually a small lake and "resort" area so there is a little convenience store and a nice looking bar and grill about four miles away. The other side of the coin is that's it's only a couple of hours to San Diego and with four days off at a time road trips are a possibility and affordable with the money your not paying for lot rent and electric. Should have also mentioned that like most of these places they also provide showers and laundry facilities.
