Well, in my opinion, the best brake controller available is the Ford builtin controller. But since that's not an option for you I'd highly recommend the Prodigy. It's the best of several aftermarket controllers I've used. It's pretty much plug and play. Easy to connect. Once you have the settings right, forget it and just go. No changing the settings when the brakes get warmer, etc. Set it and forget it. And it is relatively smooth and works in reverse, too.
