Fuel additive is like best oil, tires, batteries. LOL
Everyone has a different idea. I have a 15 and I use a additive when I tow. I was using Motorcraft cetaine booster. Then I went to Hot Shots diesel additive. If you want to add something to your truck read the label and stay away from anything that has alcohol in it. There are a couple reasons to add something to the fuel. One is to lubricate the fuel pump. On the 11 the fuel pump would love some extra lubrication.
The other reason is in winter to keep the fuel from gelling.
I have been all over the country and have purchased fuel from lots of different stations and that is why I add something when I tow. other wise I just add something every other tank. I never run my truck below 1/2 tank.
