In my opinion, the lasting damage to any vehicles finish, rv, car, or whatever, is because people dont hand dry it. When I sold my 2015 cougar it was as shiny as the day i got it, I never washed it once without hand drying it. Granted it was in covered storage, but if you want to protect any investment long term, hand dry it.
