When my 2009 Montana was only a few months old, I noticed the self-tapping heads and brackets beginning to rust. I bought some rusty metal spray primer and spot painted all the screws, brackets and gas lines. A few days later I sprayed again with a black finish coat. Not much time or expense invested and solved the problem. Did not want to replace the self-tapping screws because they never tighten up that great after the initial set.
