That's actually a pretty good idea to put a secondary regulator on the hose going into the fill port. I have a main regulator, and I have forgotten in the past to lower it to something like 40PSI before I start blowing it all out, although, I haven't done that with the Monty (yet).

If there was a regulator already set at 40PSI, it would be at that pressure every time that you hooked it up, and they aren't all that expensive. Pretty cheap insurance.
