We are new to the forum but we have been reading for a while. We drive a 2003 GMC 2500HD Duramax with the Hypertech program. We were towing a 30 ft travel trailer and decided to upgrade to the Montana. The trade is complete and we expect to see delivery in the first week of December.
We are experienced campers having done tenting, tent trailers and even a rear diesel motorhome as well as the travel trailer.
We have permenant residences in Mexico and Arizona. The one in Mexico is for sale but we plan to continue to winter in the southwest and travel to Michigan etal for the summer months (sort of reverse snowbirding)

Now for a question-- We equipped the truck with "airlift" supplemental airsprings (we got a real deal). Do these have any real advantage when towing a fifth wheel? What advantages, difficulties or peculiar traits can we expect?

PS: congratulations on a great web site....
