I priced a new 2014 Ram 3500HD Longhorn DRW and the MSRP was just over $71k. Saw a new 2014 F350 King Ranch at $73k yesterday. Makes more sense to buy a Freightliner Sportchassis M2 at $85k as that is twice the truck for capacity and 3x's the truck for mileage and overall power train life.
Yes and no! Both those dually trucks can be purchased in high 50s new. Our local Ford dealer (Corning Ca) sells them at Internet pricing at $58,000 to $62,000 loaded! The problem like with my F 450 for example and bigger trucks, you open up an entirely new ball game. In Cal your dealing with DOT and CA permits and expensive insurance! Adds lots of cost to ownership!
