Brenda and I are moving into another direction and combining travel with owning an RV lot in the mountains for summer downtime and buying a Park Model in Fla.(Panama City) for the winter. We have considered this change in our fulltime status for several years, we did not want to purchase a house and totally quit traveling, but the price of fuel has changed our way of thinking.
Owning this unit will allow us to not have to rent a site in the winter and rent it out when we are not using it. The park is lot ownership, but does not allow RV's.
With the high cost of fuel, our lot rent in Fla. for the winter the past few years has almost doubled, and the downturn in the real estate market it was a good time to buy and explore another choice and lifestyle.
