Don't worry about the spelling, the older i get , the worse i read. If you are talking about the vent hose on the aux. tank it is at the top of the tank and i have a hose on the fitting and it hangs down about 8'' inside of bed.To keep the main tank from overflowing from the aux. you have to make sure the main tank cap is snug . My cap on the main tank was not sealed once and the main tank filled and continued filling and started leaking fuel out of the i think overflow of main tank. I have the 2013 ram with the blue plastic cap on filler which i believe i got from Geno's garage. Not all trucks work the same and i had mine installed professionally. Gravity is the best on account all i do is fill the aux. tank and forget about it. Having to turn your aux. valve on and off when truck is full would be a pain. Just be sure if you have a ram that your main tank is not venting thru the cap. I did that once and that's when i had trouble with overflow. Good Luck.
