DCB, Not sure about the tent situation, but I used to carry free weights in my RV, but decided hauling all that extra weight around was not a good idea, so I bought one of these, and you can do so many exercises with this thing, and it tucks into a box around 3" x 9" x 24", and only weighs about 5-8 pounds total.
