I built a custom hitch shaped like an H and closed on the rear end. i used 2X2 tubing and included flanges to bolt it to the frame. i have towed the Harley to Texas and to Arizona from Northern Mn twice each with no problems. You do need to be careful wehn stopping for fuel so you don't get blocked in by some jerk. Backing up for any distance is impossible.
