I would not pull the toilet.
My leak was coming from foot pedal--clean water and very minor, and I delt with until I had a list for warranty.
RV mechanic/tech put in a new valve. It also leaked. Next time he came, he put in another valve and problem fixed. Obvious to me this valve thingy is not perfect.

He replaced quickly and easily--I think it just kinda snapped/popped in the back and is held with 2 screws.

Careful if you take out the single center screw on the actual foot pedal and pull it out. I had a hard time getting it to line back up and was why I had to remove toilet to get it all re aligned.. Easy removal, but I can tell was not necessary for someone that knew what they were doing.

I "think" the vallve can be replaced without removing the pedal--not sure--I do recall the mechanic did pull it off and he knew how to get it back on with no issues....

I hope that all makes sense.
