When I installed my bracket for our new TV, i used a stud finder to locate the studs.
Didn't have trouble finding them on all three walls. As always, i drill a very small test hole to make sure I'm into solid wood. Make sure the lag screws are not too long so you don't go all the way through the stud. I mounted the bracket to the side wall in the cabinet so it could easily swing in and out of the cabinet.
