Actually the separate satellite feeds have been around since late 2010. We have a 2012 and the DirecTV SWM system (one cable per receiver) which enables us to record 5 shows concurrently on the DVR plus watch another channel (or whatever is recorded on the DVR) on the bedroom/basement receiver. Nifty swifty!!
