My permanent address is in Polk County Texas and I have my TV and 5W inspected annually when I go through Livingston where my address is. The inspection is nothing more than a formality and costs $12.50 for each vehicle. If you are not going to be in Texas with your rig, even though your address is there, you do not have to have vehicles inspected. We've had a couple of times when our inspection certificate has expired and we got it renewed the next time we were in Texas. We get our vehicle licenses renewed through the mail.
