Charlie, the safety inspection fee for diesel vs gasoline only appiies to certain counties. A few Texas counties require an emissions test for gasoline engines, ours does not. I charge the same fee for both, $12.00, plus a one time $1.00 identification fee for registration purposes.
On Edit - Also, any trailer over 4500 lbs. GVWR is supposed to have a safety inspection. I'm not sure if this applies to RV's, but I will find out.
