Thought I would start a thread on the diesel filters (fuel and oil, even tranny if you like). Where do you buy? Anyone have a better place; price? You Ford and Dodge guys (and gals) pitch in your 2 cents worth too if you like.

I buy OEM filters only. AC Delco oil filter from Auto Zone; $7.99 plus tax. AC Delco fuel filter; I buy through a friend in East TX, but GM Parts Direct has just as good a price. Around $25 plus shipping. If you buy a few this is looks to be a pretty good deal. Tranny external filter from Allison dealer for 10 - 12 bucks. I've found you need to take the part number to the Allison dealer. They stock the filters, but don't list the Light Truck applications.
