If your truck/5th are paid for, you could have a good time on a $2500-3000 budget. My budget is $4600/mo, but I am still paying for my truck, rv and daughter's student loans. Take those away, and our budget is approx $2700/mo. This includes $800/mo for recreation ($200/wk is plenty).
Some months we go just a bit over, but not usually. So much will depend on how much traveling you do (we move on average every 10 days). Also, your medical expenses are a big part. We have been fulltiming about 1 1/2 years, so our budget is fairly streamlined. Like others said, so much depends on you. But, unless you are independently wealthy, make a realistic budget and stick to it. We have a ball, not wanting for anything, eat out alot, and get to see some beautiful places (just left the Florida Keys).
