If you have that cost awareness then take some plastic water jugs and freeze them and put them in the fridge before you leave. Then you can re-freeze for next trip. That will help keep inside cooler till they thaw out.

I would agree. And there is no way I want those jugs of ice sliding around in the fridge while on the road. I think this is a non-issue.
