What are the roads like on these Routes to Alaska

We are in the midst of planning our Alaskan trip. I am researching to see where we would want to stay on our trip and would like to know where you have stayed on your trips up there. We will most likely be pulling a 3400 or 3650. I need to know the ones to avoid and the ones you would travel again. Of course any information on precautions, suggested stops along the way, etc. is helpful. Info on Campgrounds along these routes you would recommend and what is a reasonable expectation for normal travel daily for these roads and routes. We generally like to only do 200 or maybe 250 a day. Occassionally we may do a longer stint to make up some miles when there is no particular reason to stop. So those thoughts would be much appreciated as well.I
Another thing we are considering is on the way up taking from Prince George Highway 16W and 37N up to Upper Laird to Highway 1 and then to Anchorage and then on the return take Highway 1 all the way down to Dawson Creek and then taking 43E to Edmonton (Largest Mall in the World a must see for the misses) and then 16W to Jasper and 93A South thru Banff and the Candian Rockies. So any camp grounds in any of these routes is apprecaited.
Thanks
Bob and Carol
